How video ads get plumbers & HVAC companies more calls
By Ebenezer Marquez, Owner & Producer · Updated October 2026
What actually works when a plumbing or HVAC company runs video ads on Facebook and Instagram, with real numbers from a Grand Junction campaign.
Why video works for trades
People don't hire a plumber from a logo. They hire someone they trust to walk into their home. A short video of your real crew, your trucks and the way you treat a customer builds that trust before anyone picks up the phone. A photo with a coupon can't do that.
What to put in the ad
- Your real people. Customers can tell a stock actor from the guy who'll show up at their door. Your crew is the selling point.
- The moment of the problem. A flooded basement, a dead furnace in January, a leak at 2 AM. Start where your customer's stress starts.
- The fix, done right. Show the work, the clean-up and the handshake at the end.
- One clear next step. Call, book or tap through. Just one.
Keep them short
The five ads we made for Countryside Service, a Grand Junction plumbing and HVAC company, run 22 to 30 seconds each. That's long enough to tell a small story and short enough that people watch to the end on their phone.
Make more than one
One ad gets tired fast, because the same people see it over and over. We shot five different angles in one shoot, with titles like Your Plumber's Plumber, 2AM Crisis and Honest Truth, and rotate them so the ads stay fresh. You can watch them here.
What it did
From June to October 2026, with about $1,000 in total Meta ad spend, the Countryside ads were seen 73,526 times and sent 3,467 people to their website. That's a 4.7% click-through rate at $0.29 a click. Figures come straight from Meta Ads Manager.
Track every lead
Clicks only matter if someone calls them back. Every lead should land somewhere you can see it and mark it: not contacted, no answer, will call back, appointment, won. Our clients get a Client Hub that does exactly that.
Quick checklist
- Film your real crew on real jobs
- Open on the customer's problem
- Keep each ad under 30 seconds
- Make 3 to 5 versions and rotate them
- Send every lead somewhere you'll follow up fast
